G,day everybody,
i've been investigating converting my globes to a 12v 60/55 BPF halogen. From the information i was supplied it's as simple as a straight swap of the globe.Has any body out there done this, and what was there outcome are they happy with fitment, light output etc? I obtained a quote from site below at $22ea. Are they available any where else?

Hi Windowless_61,
I have done this swap on my FJ (about three years ago) and recently (6 -12 months??) on the EK as well, I am WRAPPED in the swap, the light is bright crisp, bright white and ten times as bright. I put one in and drove at night (only once) to see if it made a difference and I was shocked!! I would HIGHLY recceomend it!
There has been some discussion as to whether the extra heat generated by the QH bulbs could cause cracking of the original glass lenses under certain conditions, however I drive both of my cars as daily drivers (in all sorts of terrible weather) and have not had any problems at all.
They fit straight into the original bulb holders and need no alteration.
I have always found Vintage Bulbs to be professional and he keeps his word, very happy with his service as well, it is as highly regarded in my place as his light products.
but thats enough of my rant for now, but you get the picture, if you are still not sure and want to check out the difference PM me and come have a look at my cars for comparison (if you are in Melbourne?)
Matt
P.S. no I am not on commission!

Hoping everyone is finding my new Avatar less "Distracting" and of course it is not directed at anyone or anything either currently living or deceased, hopefully it may just be allowed to remain!

G'day Windowless_61,
Welcome to the fourum. I ditto what Matt has said. I've had em in the FB for about the same time and had no probs. I'm not aware of them being available anywhere else.
Whereabouts are you in Sydney?
Regards
Stewart
