Does anyone have any recommendations for oil for these 3 speed gearboxes?

I see it takes a SAE 90 straight run mineral oil, but looking on the net there are alot of different suggestions.
Penrith Transoil SAE 90 seems like a good one, just not sure if anything else that may be more readily available?

Also, what is the capacity? Looks to be around 1L?

Cheers
Make sure the oil is GL4 not GL5

Why GL4 ?

GL4 is friendly to brass or yellow metals, in older gearboxes that can be an issue with GL5 as that oil has additives that can chorrode brass, yellow metal etc.
Those parts are the synchro rings made of brass that allow gear changes whilst moving and sometimes bearings like where the tailshaft slip yolk rides on.

HMMM , I need to check gearbox oil tomorrow before releasing the ute off the hoist - better suss out whatever I have on the shelf is GL4 seeing as I STILL haven"t changed the gearbox that sporadically jumps out of top on the way home from the Nats yet.....  better pack the occy strap.....
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Your fuel for this trip will be a big chunk out of the cow hide.

By the way, I dont believe this will "fix" your gearbox gear jump, but you never know !

Thanks for the replies all and info. Will look at grabbing some of that oil at Supercheap or Repco and add 20% Moreys if that is the general consensus.
I assume the Moreys is the Heavy duty oil stabiliser one?

@Stephen - I have not run the engine yet, so not sure how the gearbox is. Got sidetracked on the bodywork for now, needed a change while I look for a radiator etc.
