Thanks guys,

RB, no it hasn't been around the block. The furtherest its been is out the driveway to the letterbox. Don't think it would be a wise thing to do in my line of work. Although if it had lights I might be tempted to do it at night. (its only illigal when you get caught)

Greg, I did experience that hole fish oil rags up in smoke thing many years ago. Scared the shit out of me. I have a leaky old rustproofing spray gun that I used to apply the stuff. With the doors I'm just going to pour the shit in and stand the doors on each edge for a while to let it soak into the seams then let it drain. I still have the 1.5 inch lowering blocks in the rear so if it comes down to far it won't be a problem, I can just take them out.

Blacky, I'm still concerned about getting it finished in time for Yamba. Still have all the panels to paint yet, but are starting on rubbing them down this weekend.

Called the engineer a couple of weeks ago just to make sure everything was still right for that side of it. No problems there.

Hi Malcolm,
your face must be beaming every time you open your garage door?
By golly this is your credit - very well done - and received.

I have never had fishoil ignite, but I only used Wattyl Fishoilene - it seems to have a urothane component, perhaps this has something to do with it.
It will also semi-cure and if left to "air" for some considerable time will permit overcoating with an enamel primer/top coat etc............
Many people have asked me how I painted over fishoil and my response usually promotes the product (I am yet to receive any commission from Wattyl, though).

I love your procedure for tensioning the headlining - I have yet to do the centre and front sections of my roof interior, but will do so when I take out the front windscreen and start on that area of refurb.

Keep cruising now Malcolm, you're up and running - hope you won't disappoint us by missing Yamba? 97 sleeps (as Igor is keeping us informed) - with your abilities, you could have another up and running by then...............

frats,
Rosco

Mal, shes looking pretty sweet! i must say, the factory recess in the firewall works well for the back of the inlet pipe!

just one question, that front passenger side wheel, the tyre looks like its on the wrong side ? and would actually pump water into the centre of the tyre not out ?
Regards,

Sammy.

Well a bit more rubbing down done and a bit more painting done. Another job done and another day closer. :D
Hopefully will have the two back doors done also by friday.

So far this week, paint on the stonetray, cowl panel and the insides of the
bonnet and boot lid. Inside the boot lid had that sound deadening stuff on the flat section between the ribs
so it stayed and to match it up I put the spray on sound deadener on the flat section under the bonnet. Looks OK. :) :?
