138 swap Regs?

Includes fuel system, cooling system and exhaust.

138 swap Regs?

Howdy all, just wondering in SA, do you need to do any paperwork at motor reg to swap old 138 for new 138? or can you just do it with out notifying anyone cheers - Mark

You should just change the engine numbers, for the records.

Hey Mark,

I have done this before it's not hard. You will have to go to motor reg and tell them, they will give you a form requesting some basic info. New engine number, if the fuel system has changed ie have you put fuel injection or bigger carbies on, and a few other things I can't think of. Hand it in and they will update it. Easy ! 8)

By all means you can do it without notifying motor reg but it is not recommended and will land you in hot water IF the shit hits the fan.
