I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Re: Project 2.
It's all good as long as there is a remnant to measure from Blacky
There are numbers scrawled everywhere with smudgy arrows and hard to decipher explanations. I will admit I'll be glad to get past this bit and onto the floorpans- I like doing them, and importantly, all of a sudden there is somewhere to put your tools.

Rust scares a lot of people,
But once you cut it all out there's no cause for concern !
Just weld in new pieces and beauty like new.
Good job Brett.

Re: Project 2.
That little piece remaining at the bottom of the firewall gives me the forward sill length and height and angle, the floor cut is exactly 100mm to the sill at a marked point, there is a reference point at B pillar and the rear crinkly curved stubby crosmember at the end gives me rear mounting position, angle to vertical and rearward sill length. There is enough if you take your time and have lot's of coffee and chocolate digestivesErrol62 wrote: Mon Oct 18, 2021 9:58 pm Hells bells mate! I can’t see much to reference there.

So, while it looks like complete devastation, there is a cunning plan Clay.

Re: Project 2.
Keep those pics and thought processes coming Brett - I'll need all the help I can get when I do my drivers side A-Pillar and sill replacement.

Re: Project 2.
Thanks Scott. A few steps along the way. Inner sill clamped onto firewall, a tiny remnant of k frame crossmember, and the rear stay. Welded to firewall once measures were confirmed.
Quick rough up of mid floor crossmember end and welded that in place to stabilise sill.
Inner A pillar patch welded in. Hopefully close to the money.
Plan for rest of day is to complete this side firewall and pillar repairs and get set up to fit k-frame so as to weld on the mounting pad.
Day off tomorrow.

Re: Project 2.
Couple days off but back at it today. K-frame back on to ensure A pillar bits are in the right spot. Chased a bit of rust and patched, a bit more to fix up around guard support bolt holes and behind the bottom hinge brace.
After that have to make one of those curved cross member pieces and repair the end support bracket next to the wheel arch. Also have to weld on the RHS inner sill support.
Apart from that just cruisin...

Re: Project 2.
Magic Brett,
It is coming together nicely, remember measure twice cut once.
I found it frustrating to do all the work then find out the panels wont fit or the body is out of measurement.
It does look like you have it all sorted i must admit.
