Saturday sizzle with welding buddy.

Doing repairs on this piece now 'cause access is easier.

Still thinking about welding access and strength for this section, but time is closing in for action.

Used those wheels to strip the ute. It is actually enjoyable. They don't damage panels and last well as long as you keep the speed down. I use a wire wheel on my drill to unclog them when required and get quite a few runs out of them before they wear down. Too fast and they soon melt and become useless.

They work very well those wheels, Just have to keep the dust out of the lungs !!

No, Wilma hasn't hit the market as yet, Greg. A couple of jobs to do first and a couple of rides to have with friends. Then she's hopefully a car I used to own

Long weekend fiddly job. Everyday is the same though.

There are so many overlapping sheets inside this structure, with none of them rust treated. No wonder there is rust everywhere I look. And this was the one that looked pretty good.

Ute owners beware- there will be bad things happening and dirt filling every overlapped joint. Flooding with fish oil/ cavity wax required for this space.

Bit by bit you are leading me astray. I can't help but think of the EK ute at (redacted)'s farm at (redacted). Last time I looked at it I thought it was good for parts only. Next time I head out Central West for work I'll have to make a detour.

Mind you, there's another one at the extreme northwest corner of NSW.

Hi Rob, I would have thought that your FC 'Found Object' would be enough to keep you from looking for even more trouble. The tailgate section reminds me of the rusty stuff jammed into sedan doglegs. As always with these things, what you see is nothing like what you've really got
