Ah yes. It’s been a while since I have heard of one of these. Didn’t realise they are still about. Image

There was heaps of places making them back in the day mate, does it have anything stamped into it on the inside or the gasket surface ?

Cheers Clay, will have to see if it is going to fit ok before I am happy with it.

Blacky no marks to identify who made it so I guess it’s a bit of mystery, but that is fine.
I’ll still be using it!

Hey guys so it’s been a while since I h e done a bit of an update so I’ll flick some photos up of how things are going.

So I got the inside roof sorted out finally, I blew a coat of etch primer and then a few litres of stone guard onto the inner roof thinking that it would be good enough but in reality it wasn’t.

The stone guard siding stiffen the roof at all, but it did leave a nice layer of shit for me to sand smooth before rolling the underdog sound proofing on.

I should have listened to you guys and just went for the sound proofing first and saved myself a lot of time and money.

Then because I am getting close to putting the cat back together I had the steering box on my mind.
I wanted to rebuild it but the cost of $1000+ for someone to do the job for me didn’t sit right with me so I did a poor man’s overhaul myself.

Stripped it all down, inspected, cleaned and reassembled with new ball bearings.

It all looked pretty good so I just turned the main nut thing around and she seems pretty good.

Bugger it job done.

And the primer and paint signifies the end of the body work on the main part of the body.

Coated all the parts that originally had coil out on them back in honey beige, just like how it left the factory… even put a few runs in the paint for authenticity haha.

Bolting the wiper motor up was a buzz as now it’s a matter of work to put it al back together
