Is that weld thru copper primer you use Brett?
How do you find it goes with welding?

Yes it is. No problems at all Dave. Much better than the zinc ones for my welds.

This ones for you Clay. Nearly finished.
Will try a bit of lead wiping on the windscreen pillar when the time comes to level it. There is a dip in the front section at the join, but sides are good.

Thanks for posting Brett. Copper seems popular lately. I will give it a try, when I eventually get back to the van.

The joys of repairing plenum chambers . . . I remember doing that on an HD in '98.
With 20/20 hindsight, it would have been way better to unpick the cowl panel complete, and dive in that way. But at the time, drilling spot welds was black magic to me.
Rob
(Edit: do you have a windscreen for trial-fitting? Now would be a good time to test the fit . . .)

Drainage works.
I aim to seal it all with POR15 and seam sealer. Then tack outer cover back on. Very fiddly, but good task for a lazy Sunday.

Nearly sorted. A couple of patches to go. Some welding to do under the curve of the upper door part of pillar once it's on the rotisserie, but mostly done.
Very, very fiddly job- glad it's almost behind me.
