Well, roof is painted.

Not real sure yet about that one.

My poor little compressor couldn't keep up with things real well,
you all maybe surprised but I've done all this so far with a 10 cfm compressor thats as about as old as I am.
Will see in the morning weather or not it needs to be done again. I surpose it's not too bad, but there is a couple
of bits of shit and a run that you could fukcen trip over that I'll have to try and buff out in the morning.
I knew the roof would be the hardest, as its the biggest panel to paint.
If I can get away with it, the shed booth will live another day.

From where I sit, your roof is schmick..................

I note your previous trade, sometimes we get a little hyper-sensitive to our efforts - I'm sorry, I don't have anything to offer on 2K - I would only offend if I were to make any suggestion..................

Compressor - I truly hope others take heed of your comment - and you are "versed" with a gun..................
Have you considered adding an additional reserve (tank, gas bottle etc) - it will probably just give you greater "recovery" but may help with keeping the series of passes more consistent............... I am not one to be qualified in this, but do understand how frustrating it is when the gun setting starts to waiver as air delivery falls off ....

Your booth has satisfied your needs, it is worthy of further service.......

have a cleansing ale (or two) - tomorrow is another day................

hey mel,

super cheap had 10 cfm units for $150 .. i was thinking of getting one to tandam up to my old 12 cfm unit via one reg ..

i have to say i have noticed when using my current compressor that if its used for a long run moisture make it to the sand blaster unit .. so i may need a dryer .. before tackling paint .. ?

Hey guys,

Another productive day, once again couldn't sleep past 5am when things should be happening in the shed.
The roof was a success

, the shed booth will live another day.
Got the first rub done on the rear quaters & reprimed where needed, stone guarded the sills and its all ready for more sanding

.
Plan is to have the body finished painting by Thursday, maybe Friday.

I can't thank you all enough for your words of encouragement, this keeps me focussed.
Back to work tomorrow, for a break.

Hey CB, thats no typo, I've had this trustee little compressor ever since I was an apprentice just after leaving school. My boss at the time sold it to me cheap as he had written it off through his business. I have it set up with an industrial water trap that I kept when I got out of my smash repair business. It can run all day and get as hot as hell but I don't get one speck of moisture through it.

RB, I keep telling everyone at work that work is just interfering with my private life and if it wasn't for the fact that they paid me, I wouldn't turn up.

Looking good in colour finally !
I think this car will be a standout at the nationals. Regardless of the final colour choice. Which so far seems to be a ggod choice.

Hope the rest of the painting goes to plan. Just watch out for all those insects and bugs they like the yellow and white cars.

i like the colour, i've seen plenty of yellows that are either too bright or too faded looking, thats not bad though!

yellow used to be my favourite colour as a kid hhaahah
