Retractable seat belts

Post by troy_fb »

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me what the earliest holden retractable seat belts are that will fit in the FB front and that will clear the side of the front seat. I am under instructions to replace the current ones which are a bit hows-ya-father to make it safer for the family.

I need to go off to the wreckers and have a poke around but it would be good to know what models to check out?

I think that you will find that legally the wreckers cannot sell seat belts that have been in a crash, that's the rule in SA at least.
Most of the installs I have seen are using new kits (Klippan?), I think you'll find it is pretty much "one-size-fits-all".

Retractable seat belts

Troy,

Just my opinion, I think your way better off getting new aftermarket belts. I fitted them to mine, cost around $100 per belt.
After all what price can you put on safety

You are both right I guess, it's just that I had left this job to last and my 'car money' has run out.

Where is the best place to go for aftermarket seatbelts then?

Is Klippan the brand I should look out for or are there other brands that will fit with the reel clearing the side of the bench seat?
