Thanks Tim and Rob.
To be honest, at the end of the day, when all is said and done, CBF pulling it out just to get the light working. The end goal is in sight and I am racing to the finish line. Currently wrangling front bumpers.

I ordered my loom June 6th with a promise of 10 week lead but then the shit hit.

If you are coming to Adelaide would be good to catch up. Also may be a good opportunity to visit old mate at Nuri. Not sure how much longer he will be trading as health is sadly flagging.

In the last days of getting the car on the road, the fiddly bits stack up and seem insurmountable. If it won't stop you getting rego, put it on a to-do list for later. Its incredible how much more fun the fiddly jobs are once the rego hurdle is met.

Appreciate the advice Harv, it rings true.

Tim, I will try and get up there. We're mates as well. Maybe in the Ute if I take harvs advice.

Front bar looks good Clay. What did you paint on the inside?

Soaked the components in citric acid and scrubbed out the backs with scotchbrite. Poured on ranex then wiped off after 10 minutes and sprayed about umpteen coats of Australian export enamel Stephen. Strictly not for automotive use according to the can. It is very cheap and sticks to anything. See how it lasts.

Miserable spring morning at Willunga. Fortunately the paint likes a bit of humidity to cure and can be applied by brush down to 6C. First coat cured overnight and rubbed with 400. I was going to spray it but brush gets it in to the rougher surface. Strips are getting one coat allover with adhesion promoter added to the clear then screwed on to top with two coats. Then final coat on top within 6hours.ImageImage

Shortest screws in 10g were 18mm so will have to turn over and grind off the ends and re seal. Still have enough clear. At this stage just set up to drop in without any fixing.Image

Looking good clay but I keep thinking you are making life harder for yourself putting everything on before cutting and buffing
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

I keep putting it off I know. I buffed the stone tray before I put the bumper on but I need to get in to it.
