Understand Harv but can't figure out why it was stalling/starving when trying to drive on the road when I slowed down to stop and turn a corner it would stall but start almost immediately, each time it stalled it was harder to start
I'm thinking of putting a T piece in and joining the Vac pump, booster and manifold at present I just have the manifold vac line for the booster blocked.

It's a cry for help... put your right boot into it

Do you have a friendly mechanic with an OBDI machine?- Assuming it has an outlet for OBDI? - might be able to pinpoint the issue if there is an error somewhere before you go to Dyno man?
If he's worth his salt he will put the computer across it first before hitting the dyno testing.
I can't wait to be able to put the "right boot into it" as you say Harv cause I think once tuned properly it is going to get Frank down the road very smartly
Wally can't remember if the early Commodores did OBD1 I think it was called ALDL in the manual it tells you that you can bridge terminals A and B on the diagnostic plug and the engine management light will flash in a code like morse this will identify any codes or tell you everything is ok, each time I have done that it is telling me that all the sensors are working correctly and I have no faults so go figure
I'll figure it out in the end just sorry I never got the Haltech with the engine when I bought it the guy had already sold it along with the roller rockers just before I contacted him

From what I understand, all VR/VS/VT/VX/VY/VZ use ALDL. VN/VP use a slower 160 baud system (different plug), whilst the VL had the sealed system (can be piggybacked though). LS1 V8’s, VZ/VE (and I assume VF) use OBD2.
EFI sorcery

EFI sorcery indeed Harv I looked on evilBay this morning and there is a guy over here that makes a great software setup for ALDL VR/VS/VT/VX/VY/VZ so I gave him a call this morning and he said that it was not worth doing the same for the VN VP because as you said it is a slower system and it would not be worth it I wonder if I could run a VR ECU on my VN/VP motor they are basically the same and my engine runs worked VR heads and is 10:1 compression

Thanks for the info Harv but that is way past my pay grade I'm just a simple grease monkey mate.
I did google and got onto the same forum, it says that I could run the VR manual ECU but I would have to bypass VATS (whatever that is )
All sounds to hard and I think I will leave it up to Mr Tuner when I get thew car to him.

Hi Seb;
Yes mate Al is the guy I have been put onto he breaks into/rewrites the Delco ECU but I haven't called him yet I'm caught up with a job for the Navy and works getting in the way of the important stuff like Frankenstein' completion

Just throwing this into the pot, your pics of your tank setup have gone, are you suffering from having no breather on the the tank assuming your using original cap. Just checked my VX and the fuel cap has a built in one way valve so it can draw air into tank. I assume earlier tanks are the same, sold my VS so cant check.

Hey ehsv6 that' actually a valid point mate, I am using the commodore tank but with a Hyundai fuel filler, flap and cap I am pretty sure the tank is breathing but will definitely check it out tomorrow as I had not thought of that.
Thanks for the suggestion I am always happy to listen.

Thanks for the comments guys
Yes I am running it on an original Delco and it does really need a tune, the standard Delco is just so I can make Frank mobile enough to get him on the trailer etc.
As I think I already said I'm trying to sort this starvation problem as best as I can because the tuner is only a tuner as far as I know and I will be wasting money if I take it to him and he can't do what he needs too.
