I know I got into the Prem on Monday afternoon, after it had been in the sun all day. Made me question how smart it was to get rid of the VS’s air conditioning. Perhaps not the smartest move in central Queensland.
After a week of driving, I’m still fascinated by the flashing handbrake warning light.

Harv you need another wee project. You’re good with pulleys n stuff. VK commodore compressor and vintage under dash head.
Must resist temptation... must not start another project... must finish the 1000-odd I started...must not go looking for the red motor twin pulley in the shed...

yeah as mentioned if you can keep moving it's not to bad without air, mine just comes down to the steering handling and smoothness of acceleration (i think) surprisingly the EK is nicer to drive on bumpy roads i can only put that down to tyre sidewall height

Fantastic purchase mate. How great is the flashing handbrake light?! Them globes are getting tricky to find now I bet.
Harv, I'll have a close read of your list again. I've built two HRs and *hopefully* still have a slew of parts at the parents' house, some at my brothers' too. My bros was a Special, mine a Premier with red interior like yours. I'll dig up some photos.
Oh and I still have all your Stromberg tuning bits too! To discuss another time, I'll trundle out to yours to return it all soon promise
Its very similar to the one I'm after. That's 7434146, the Trico washer pump for HR. The one I have is 7430911, the Preslite pump for HR. I'm not sure if these two are interchangeable (HR gurus, please chime in?)
In any case, many thanks for digging it out. If WA is as warm as Sydney today, it would have been a three-beer effort (42C here in the shade... and somewhat warmer in the shed ).

You've fallen foul of the two-supplier problem. Trico and Preslite are like Lucas and Bosch. The parts don't interchange. And to make it worse in the wiper motor department, the wiring harnesses and switches are specific to either Preslite or Trico.
Let me take a look in the spare parts department tomorrow (after waving the spider-warding stick).

Only 36 here today mate, but I have 4 house sized evaporative coolers on the shed so it's nice in the shed - just don't go outside

The wiper motor you have is the Premier type with in built washer pump
The plain ones do not have the washer pump on them
i have two Premier ones - they need new tops ,can get on ebay
PM your phone number and i might be abill to send a pic
After waving the spider-warding stick, I located two Preslite wiper motors, minus washer pump, and one Trico wiper motor, with washer pump. The Preslite motors will have been left over from when I resurrected my HD Premier's windscreen washers in '85. Maybe, if I search diligently, I can find some of the washer parts.
And an HD/HR washer bottle, and a Casbah Red steering wheel for a Premier, in OK condition.
Qld Rob: I’ll grab a Preslite Premier pump please, and the headers. The price in the PM is OK. Please PM me the best way to get the cash to you. I’ll PM you the contact details for the gentleman in Toowoomba and see if we can organise a pickup.
NSW Rob: many thanks for battling the spooders. Can I please grab the washer bottle (let me know what I owe you), and any washer parts that show up. Suspect I may need to use Robs plus mine to make one good one. My steering wheel is OK, but pretty heavily worn. I’ll take some photos once I am back at work.
Cheers,
Harv
