Went to classic fasteners at Welland and got new machine screws for the headlight connection blocks. Very helpful husband and wife team. After trying everything logical they came up with the ones you wouldn't guess were right. Should have asked them but I will happily grab more if anyone else is in dire need. They do need to be cut down and are in zinc plate.ImageImageImage

The rares blocks are pretty good replacements - certainly remove any issues around contacts and earth.

Yes they look good. My last car I deleted them and went for minimalist look on the wiring with battery in the boot. I’d probably do same again rather than spend $60 on newies. The screws cost me $3.00 and they are around the corner from my local RS.

G'day Clay,
Classic fasteners has become my local haunt of late as I chase down bits to get my outfit back on the road. They are very helpful and knowledgeable in their trade. I find their website easy to navigate with pricing that is reasonable.

Cheers Neil
I did a coat of the metalfix in the back underfloor. Unfortunately ran out 3/4 of my way through but managed to smear on a base coat over it all. I’ll buy another litre, which should have me covered. I’ve done 2 or 3 coats on the subframe, front crossmember, complete underside, cabin floor, firewall and lower cargo wall, and the entire under tray area, fuel tank area etc. and will have used 7 litres in total, probably around $500!

Going along well Clay, mate I'm glad you are only giving the Ute a tidy up and back on the road I'd have hated to see you do a ground up resto buddy

Just kidding mate you will appreciate all the hard work in the end.

Yes I know. Compared to what you’ve done that’s all it is though mate.
