Chrome Steelies

Post by BS »

Hi All,

Chasing a set of chrome steelies. Prefer 14" but open to whatever is out there.

I know Ajax used to make them but the new owner just does alloy wheel repairs now. Open to suggestions of anyone who can make a set up.

Cheers

As per the wagon thread I had DG wheels in Melbourne knock up a set of reversed HT/G steelies in the end. Price and quality was really good. Here's to polishing chrome ImageImage

Well done! Can’t wait to see them on the wagon.

I’ve got an old 13” set I had made up years ago by Adelaide Wheel and Rim for my old sedan. They weren’t cheap at the time though it seems so now. Bit rusty but still polish up okay.

Would be interesting to know the price.

Some say just keep spraying them with wd40 periodically to keep rust at bay.

300 bucks a rim. That was with me supplying them a set of old rims, them cutting the centers out and subbying out to the chrome plater they used and then welding them back into new chrome bands which they reversed to move the backspace from the ht/g (4.5") to fb/ek (3.5")
