Chrome Plating - Bonnet Bird fitting

Post by acotters »

Hi All.
I got my hands on an old bonnet bird that needs to be re-done. I have been told of a chrome plating place in Dandenong, Vic, called A.A. Vinney's. Anyone had any dealings with them?
Also any advice on fitting the bonnet bird would be appreciated.
It's for the stock EK that never came with the bird. Am I ruining its originality by putting one on?
Thoughts appreciated.
Cheers,
Andrew.

I have had a few things done by Vinneys and my mate had all the Chrome on his 53 done there. Real good work, just gotta keep on him a little to make sure you get it when you need it..

As for fitting totally upto you, personally I would do nothing more than lower the car about 3" and drive the wheels of it
Speed and Style........... One day I'll get the speed bit.

For those that may be interested, I got quoted in the vicinity of $125 each for the bonnet birds.
