Good day fellow Fb Ek nuts.. I am doing front and rear floors in my fb have my Rare spars floor pans and was starting to nut it all out when I noticed the floor pans in the car have supports under them like a Chanel and these on both sides are both rotted out.
They look like floor supports ??my question is:
Number 1, what are they called ??
Number 2, can you buy repro ones or do I just make them ??

Hi Bowjay, do you mean part #38 below?
It runs across the car from sill to sill and includes the manual transmission hump hoop. You can buy the 2 straight bits from Rares, Taylor’s, etc. and they’re not too hard to make.

If yours are goosed, check the transmission hoop where the straight bits attach, as well as where they attach to the sills - very common spots for rust. There’s someone on eBay who makes the sills as well as the front bits that attach to the cross member, which are a bit trickier to make.
