Very kind words there FireKraka. Yeah happy how it came up as i managed to squeeze some more footwell space. Finished at 1am this morning now need to rework the tailshaft tunnel as i want to reduce the height a bit, bit more grinding and folding to come . Oh the ute looks mint mate and i love the late model guard fluets. I want to do something on the bonnet but will see how i go,. I might end up running a high rise manifold so the injection might poke through the bonnet .
Getting closer now. Rear floor and boot section fitted and tunnel shaped to suit. Just to make things interesting i did the old 100mm trick when cutting the tunnel to length .
Pop the champagne the floor and tunnel are done. Really happy how its come up
A little bit of tidy up work but that can wait unitl its on the rotisserie.
Been playing around with the rear seat. Am not sure i will get three bums on it due to the tubs. Will mount the front seats and then see if i can sneak the rear seat forward a bit more.
So i have now mounted the front seats and it looks like i can bring the rear seat forward about 75mm so it may be okay. I wont be sitting in the back so if its a bit hard on the backside it wont matter
So more progress made. Front seat mounts fully welded in. Rear upper seat mounted including seat belts. I need to reinstall the hood lining to check head clearance before mounting the bottom section of the seat.
I have a WH statesman which i am using for parts. The middle cushion will need a bit out of it. I reckon i will glue the middle to the left and right uppers and make it one piece. I had to cut the back out of the uppers as well to clear the tubs.
