Heavy-duty bonnet springs

Post by Harv »

Some time ago I bought some heavy-duty bonnet springs from a gentleman on the forum. He had them made new, in a neat silver finish. I put them on my wagon, and was really impressed with them.

Sadly, I cannot find his contact details (my Private Messages list runneth over).

I need to buy another pair for Grace's ute. The pair that are on it are that weak that the bonnet vibrates shut. Have had a few smacks to the back of the head. Not too keen on installing a NASCO bonnet holder upperer (broomstick).

Can anyone remember who was selling these please?

Cheers,
Harv

Thanks guys.

I can't find the eBay listing for the heavy duty springs, but I can find one for Earlybits selling the helper springs:
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-BONNET- ... XQGQRSCIZO

... kinda looks like Bunnings springs to me.

Thanks for the offer Billy, though I am pretty keen to get the heavy duty ones. The bloke was selling a really nice product, and was great to deal with. Stupid me should have kept his details.

Cheers,
Harv

Harv,
Don't know if this is the seller, slingshot180 on eBay, he sells a lot of stainless stuff, i.e. brake cylinder pistons etc, he did have heavy duty bonnet springs listed last year. I think he's in Sydney.
