Thanks Lads - hoping to see some colour soon.
Matt at Back to Life Restorations has been great and Shane at Sodablast ringwood did an amazing job on the body clean and prep - just created a perfect base for Matt to work his magic - you need to be prepared to spend $$$ but I know I'll have something that will last well past the first 57 years. I do envy the guys that do all their own work but thats just not my reality - tried it once but would never have finished it.

Hi Wal;
Mate doesn't matter to me how they are done I think as long as they survive is the main point and you are going to have one really nice ute mate.

Thanks Neil - It's through guys like yourself and the great many great blokes on this site like Harv and Dave Mack and Blacky , Russell etc etc that we can get the parts we need at fair prices so a big thanks to all those guys - I just can't wait to get in and drive it - first job is teaching my 17 yr old how to drive 3 on the tree.

Hey Wally,
Good progress there and looking tidy. Will you do away with the spare wheel door and access the spare via the panel I see in the tray?

Regards
Stephen

Going to keep the spare door to keep the orriginal look but as the new tyres doesn't fit needed to access from above so removing the last cross member and cut a door in - will give better access to the rest of space around spare for jack and tools etc

Looking good Wally.

See the small hole in the ignition switch bezel? Push in a piece of tensile wire or blunt nail to resistance and turn the key left past lock. The barrel should then pull out and bezel can be unscrewed/lock removed.
Cheers
Clay
