Bench seat slider tang thickness

Post by Harv »

For the EK wagon, I want to do something a little bit different with the front bench seat control. On the drivers side, there is a small metal tang that pokes through the seat steel side cover. The tang drives the seat mechanism for sliding backwards and forwards. Normally there is a chromed ball-shaped knob that mounts onto the tang with a grub screw.

Can someone please measure the small metal tang for me (thickness and width)?

Cheers,
Harv

A couple of things Harv, im assuming an FB wagon has the same seatslider as an EK and also that mine is original.
Is this what you are talking about ?

If so the measurements i got were 10mm high by 4mm thick, i hope this helps.
