Blown EK

Post by NoMAD »

The blown EK runs a 186 bored to 192 off memory it was built to take a 350 holley if things went wrong, it has basically stock internals with basic fruit such as - yella terra head and valves and a decent cam (waggot - i think) and then just a 2mm decompression plate.

The blower is only set up for about 5-7 psi, and runs a 600 Holley - all though they may have changed recently. its all mated to a GTR Torana 4 speed box (which would be an M20)

The blower kit is quite old and from queensland (Bob Fischer - of Bob Fischer Automotive - ?) but i believe still available for around $5500, including pump, manifold, pop-off valve, blower and pulley. you would also need a Hi-volume oil pump, and a good electric dizzy (preferable)

so basically alot of money, alot simpler to build a nice cruiser with a good economic/reliable engine - people will still be looking at the car just means you can skip every second petrol station without a blower setup like such!

Amazing how the awesome cars stick in your head, there was an article in street machine around early -mid 2004 i think it had ben brays ute on the cover.

Cheers
