Splice or not to splice Horn wire EK

Post by Gossy »

Hi All,
Got a new brass horn ring to fit to my EK, it came with an original wire in great condition.
My dilemma is whether to cut and connect the wire by spicing new onto old and guaranteeing a working horn, or chasing the wire through the steering stem and connecting ( which I'm not so skilled on the second approach).
Just want to make sure I am not stuffing it up by messing with the wiring.

I would tape the new wire onto the end of the old wire and pull it down the steering column - theres plenty of room and it just plugs in at the other end.
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.
