Hi Everybody
I need a little HELP how does the lock mechanism fit to the boot

There has to be a retainer / clip of some sort ?? what does it look like so I know what to look for in my pile of stuff.

I havent got photos mate but from memory its a thin strip of steel with a round rectangular hole in it and a 7mm rightangle fold on the end. you put the shaft of the lock through the hole in the boot while you slip this thingy up into the hole under the lower flange of the boot. Slip the lock shaft of the lock through this thingy as well and push the lock tight against the bootlid and lightly tap the metal thingy up until its fully home. I forgot to look to see if your lock has the shaft sticking out the back of the lock. Its held on by a little spring.
Is this any help?? Sorry for the confusion and no pics. maybe someone else can rectify yhis.
