Re: FB army ute
Yep, back to original colour, bumpers and everything thats chrome, interior which i think was black originally, canvas cover for the ute but only at roof height (don't want a sailboat) got a HR diff with a 3.36 lsd, trimatic behind a 202, not sure how much I'm going to warm it up!! HR disc front end, but thinking of an ifs front from great southern chassis works, on 14" stock steely's.
Am open to any suggestions or good idea's. got some more photo's soon.

Are you saying your painting all the shinny stuff? I believe all that stuff was originally painted army green as well... But hard to go past chrome bumpers... Personal I would paint all the bright original but the bumpers I would chrome... It's hard not too
Have a look at Samprinci's ute for canopy sakes
http://www.fbekholden.com/forum/viewtop ... =11&t=9707
I would love to see and original seat in the back but good luck finding one
Again do to it what you want... It's not often I'm happy to stay stock original stuff but I think anything on an army ute I would only do bolt in and out modifications as to not destroy a rare option
Cheers

Re: FB army ute
Ive got a mate with an fx army ute. Ill see if he will let me take some pics of it.
I saw at one of the hawkesbury swap meets a fb ek metal mesh rear window screen.
John brow was selling it. He died a few weeks ago so no way of fnding out where it went.

Just the screen Dave, or anything else hanging off it (rubber etc)?bootlegger wrote:I saw at one of the hawkesbury swap meets a fb ek metal mesh rear window screen.

Re: FB army ute
It was a metal frame with mesh weldd to it. I guess it was designed to protect the back window. It just screwed to the body.
