My 15 year obsession with a EK

Post by EK 308 Uterus »

I finally got time to put a pic on the system of my EK Ute fitted with HZ 308 running gear with 4 wheels discs ( also HZ ) been working on it for 15 years on and off when I get more time I will add some more pics showing a couple of stages whilst working on my obsession.

Looks great Luke, it must be hard not being able to take it for a drive.
How close to getting it on the road are you?

I know what you mean, I've had an ek ute sitting in my shed for 2 years now but unless I want to get in the shit I have to finish painting the house first before I start restoring it. Only 2 rooms to go though. Maybe after xmas I'll start.

missus and kids you know what that means just after it's rego'ed you'll have to sell it cause "we all can't fit in that thing"
mate with an EH ute is going through the same shit now, when he started it he only had 1 kid by the time it was finished 2, 4 up in the front of an EH ute just doesn't work now his missus is whinging cause they either have to take 2 cars or not the whole family can go

Guys,

Ratrod I know the in's and outs of my ute better than I know my Mrs hehe.

I had to compromise and buy her a 06 Patrol just so she could have a car big enough to take the tribe and extras.

Capt... Not patients ...I aquired the car from my uncle on the farm all those many moons ago and he said the words that you just dont forget.. " you will never do it " ....well had to prove a point didnt I..so just about there doin it.
