Doing away with 1/4 window in ute

Post by kel3629 »

Hi All

Have seen a couple of utes with the 1/4 window removed and a full wind up window in it's place.
Is there a window glass from another vehicle that can be used or do you need to get something cut?

Thanks for your help

Just get one cut , easy  make a template out of MDF then take it to a glazier.
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Thanks Blacky

Do you need to make any alterations to the winding mechanism?

Yeah - you need to keep the winder in the centre of the window or it will jam when you wind it up .
