thanks to everyone

for there time in helping me achieve my first real attemp on fixing the car up...

now knowing what needed to be done, i realize that the autoelectrician that i took the car to in the first place (dinos, corner of the kingsway & port hacking rd, miranda) really just didnt want to help me... which is disappointing as it would have taken him maybe an afternoon to complete, but instead i had to do it, taking all up 27hrs...

but now its done i feel good as its done exactly how i would've wanted it done...

thanks to
mephoius, rosco, thropzed, smooth, DR, ekveute, ek jay, oldnek, ben, reddo, fbwannabe, ratbox, thommo, fb mad, craig, parisian 62, fbcruiser, blue ute, oldgmh & last but definately not least Blacky...

with out your words of wisdom i would never of started such a job...

thankyou

matty martin

Matty , if you need the services of an autosparky again, take it to Abel Auto Electrical in Taren Point . Quentin is a mate of mine and will not muck you around. His number is 95402113.
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Hey Matty, Only too happy to help, Looks like you got it sorted. I did get to take some shots of my engine bay for you

This shot shows(maybe) the stock cable clip sticking through into the engine bay. But you get the idea now and some of the advice you got from other forum members I'm going to use as well.

The headers are JACK MEYERS for grey motor, These ones I picked up about 7 years back for $150 but I've seen them go on evilbay for about $450-$600. Your running red motor though, so you need X2 headers, I just picked up a set with header pipes for $115 not too bad. I also saw he had a HT ute out the back and picked it up for $500 bucks.

Good to hear the problem got sorted mate and the job is done.

Pretty big job for your very first electrical experience, well done for having the balls seeing it thru mate and to step up and ask if you had a problem ! You now know how all your shit links in and if you have a drama on ya travels you now know where to look :)

Good stuff with the step by step process also mate for others wanting to do similar :)
