as with HEMI i to have had John at Complete Windscreens chop glass down and he does a good job BUT as John says aways allow cost wise for maybe more than one windscreen as they do break when being cut . i had two done for my EJ convertable one as a spare .

cutting and grinding can be done but it has to be laminated glass not toughened, and along the lines of what paul said they might do it in 1 or it may take 20 :( if yor getting one cut try to use someone that's done it before and is recomended, an FB/EK front screen is about the hardest to cut/grind because of the curve, as far as i know there is no such thing as a laminated rear screen for FB/EK
there used to be a loophole in the NSW regs where you could kind of use plastic i think it's been closed now but

Hi All
Some more progress to show.

Image
This piece was where the roof was extended 50mm on the left side of the sunroof.
It was cut out and replaced with a piece from the other van which you can see tack welded
into position behiend

Image
Same thing on the right side.
The gap between this piece and the sunroof filler was also made and tacked into position

Image
This shot from above shows all the bits tacked together at the rear of the roof.

We are getting there :o
Its going to take a lot of nights, but we will get there :?

The next step is to repair the strip down the center, from the sunroof to the windscreen.

The the job of oxy welding all this together into one roof

I also spoke to 'Dr Chop' at the Palmer Hot Rod Day on the weekend.
As soon as the van is ready for a screen, he will be straight on it. 8)
