Portable radio w/ cradle for EK

Post by mattmy99 »

Hi all,
I'm specifically looking for a cradle to suit a Ferris super 8 portable radio.
Or, a complete portable radio with cradle. Diamond dot/Air Chief/Ferris etc
Let me know what you have.

Cheers,

Matt

There's often quite a few on ebay. Just search under 'picnic radio' in Vehicle Parts & Accessories.

Alright then, is this what you're after??? Locking cradle with key, It works when hooked up to car 12v (just bench tested it), earths through cradle  I just chucked a small 9v transistor battery in it when out of the cradle but nothing happened :? (might be the wrong battery)

Locking mechanism works fine, turn the key and lift the chrome lever at the other end and it slides right out

All metal casing makes it a heavy little bugger

Thanks Mick, that's just what I'm after. Feel free to send me a PM with a price.

Blacky, did you happen to see what you had lying around?

No secrets here Matt, see if Blacky can find his first (as he's in your neighbourhood) and he did put his hand up first

Just went down to pack the radio away again into the cupboard under the bench and realised it's been there for over twenty years doing nothing

So if anyone wants it I'll ask the same price as Blacky $120 plus postage
