What's the purpose of that thingy on the quarter windows? Some sort of deflector?

Air deflectors mate ...they call them Breezies.... old school stuff from the 50s and 60s ........... 8) 8) 8) Fingers

I guess I was being a bit harsh :lol:

I just really love the Holden colours from the era. If it was painted Kodiak Brown with a Grecian White roof, then I'd give it a 10/10 (mind you, not sure if any EKs got those colours from the factory).

I don't why it looks so good, maybe the grill, wheels and as Mick said its simplicity.
Looks pretty cool, and I wouldn't mind it at all.
There's nothing as Sweet as a EK V8
