Panel Shop Reccommdation

Post by mpeck83 »

Hi everyone,

I have a 1962 EK Special Sedan and it is in need of a full restoration. My plans for the EK is to restore it to as original as possible and to have it restored to the highest quality possible. I live in the western suburbs of Melbourne and was wondering if anyone could recommend any panel shops for me to look at taking my EK project too. It has rust in all the usual places and I am not too sure what else is under the paint work. So I am looking for someone to do all the metal work and the spray job too. As I said I am after a high quality of work and all work done properly, I am happy to invest good money into the EK to see the high standards of work I am after. I don’t mind if it’s a large shop or even if someone works out of there shed, I don’t mind I am just after the best job possible. I would prefer someone who is experienced in refinishing older Holden if possible.

Any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated

Cheers guys.

I can recommend Gollings Smash repairs in Braeside. Then there is Waddingtons in Castlemaine (never had anything done by them) but seen a few cars built by them. TCR IN Ferntree Gully I think, also Western Smash Repairs (pm Sean Hammond as he works there) well that's a few to get you started, but there are plenty of places who can do the work but you need to be happy with their standards.
