A Secure Bonnet Lock

Post by In the Shed »

G'day,
I thought this might be of interest to owners who want to secure their bonnet. My father put this on his FB in the 1960's. It can be a little fiddly to secure and unlock with your hand through the grille but once you get use to it no prob's. The only down fall would be in the event that you need to open the bonnet in a hurry, say to extinguish a fire!

Hook the padlock over the bonnet locking on the underside of the bonnet, guide the shackle through the hole where indicated as you close the bonnet, remove your hand, close the bonnet and close the padlock.
I hope this is of interest.

Regards
Stephen
