Probably a half day mck. I decided to lay in bed all day today. That lasted till 10am when my wife started huffing and puffing so that was the end of that.Mick wrote:lookin good but i expected it woud![]()

Yeah , Dave mentioned about painting it black. I wouldn't have even realised it should be black

All sorted, Fatboy66
Dave started putting on most of the chrome and stainless trim, plus badges. Also changed the front quarter window rubbers

Another big job was getting the rooflining in, especially as this one was so old and brittle. What didn't help was glue that wasn't doing what it was supposed to do.
After a while, it was in

Plastic clamps from Bunnings. Quite useful at holding stuff together

Starting to look like a car again

Re: EK Freshen Up
my sleep is all over the place (f#%k i wish i could go to bed and sleep for 8 hours) usually go to bed 11ish wake up again around 3, so it's either lay there looking at the roof for a couple of hours or get up and kill time on the computer, go back to bed about 5-6ish wake up 8.30 - 10ish

Re: EK Freshen Up
The fun with the roof lining started with most of the rods wearing through the fabric sleave so i had to sew therods back in. Once that was done no matter how hard i tried the glue wouldnt stick the calico or the roof linng to the body. Eventually the calico got thrown away and i sent peter to bunnings to get some different glue and some clamps. i rang a trimmer mate of mine who was really helpful saying he could come.during the week. In the end i said to peter lets have one more go. This time around it was pretty straight forward and it went in pretty well.

Still have to fit the front and back screens. Buff a couple of blends. Fit seat belts and the interior and the car is done. Hopefully saturday she will be almost done.
