Inner Tie Rods.

Post by strogger »

I have a question regarding the Inner tie rod (Long one.)on a factory EK Automatic front end.

Are they supposed to be a ball into socket joint onto the steering rod which joins the LH and RH sides?

I recently purchased a set of "Inner and Outer Tie Rods" from Evil Bay.
Only to find the threaded nut style supplied is not suitable. :x

Have contacted seller and he informed me i may have a later set fitted? The ones on the car look like thay have been there since the assembly line. Also any tips on removal would be great.

Any comments or information would be appreciated.

Thanks Anthony.

I couldn't imagine an auto EK having different inner tie rods than a manual.
I'm also replacing mine with the same issues, from the same evilbay dude
I'm replacing the steering connecting rod aswell on my FB, and on that it says to fit FC- EH so are the inners the same on all these models :?:

cheers Rob
