EK or HR Diff

Post by Coopa »

Hi all,
I'm installing a 186 (192) with a Celica box in my EK Sedan, hopefully with a Torana FE, will the standard EK diff stand up to the job, is there any (basic) differences betweel the EK & HR diff other than shoe size, stud pattern and (standard) ratio?

Depends on how you drive it
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

haha good call Blacky

Not like a race car but a squirt now and again, so I would assume the diff is ok to use but if I squirt it to hard to often then go a HR diff?

I would go for the HR diff just for the fact that the wheel cylinders are about $30 a pair and available off the shelf, EK ones are allot more expensive.
