Rebuilding of Old Timer (EK wagon)
Re: Rebuilding of Old Timer (EK wagon)
Stewart! - I'm going to beat you to the punch on this..... when you complete the build..... "You've read the book - now see the movie..!"
Dont be afraid to gently lay some masking tape on areas of paintwork where you might scratch/chip it whilst fitting the "bits".... Dave (and you) have done a great prep job and finish - you shouldn't have issues peeling the masking tape back over itself after assembly....
frats,
Rosco

Brilliant story!!!
I'm taking off where my old man left, obviously due to sentimental reasons. I'm keen as and that is only after 12 years of history. Your family have got over 50 fifty years invested in this machine so I can't imagine how excited you are and will be when it is complete.
Great job mate and kudos for tracking it down.

Good one Rosco.
Many thanks Gary - I can't wait to start getting it all back together and turning the key...
Thanks Sam. That Bootlegger bloke has done a mighty fine job with the paint.
Too right DR! go man go!
Thanks Danny. I'll be excited but veeerrrry nervous driving out of the driveway for the first time...last week I saw a bloke nearly go through a red light...to get out of the intersection he slammed it into reverse and put his foot down...straight into the car behind him...

This old girl will be beautiful!!!
Not all chemicals are bad. Without chemicals such as hydrogen and
oxygen, for example, there would be no way to make water, a vital
ingredient in beer

Thanks John and Alex. Yep it's been a long road. I'll be taking it back to the paddock for some before and after shots...

Patience Grashopper I have to get the bridge to bridge out of the way first. Anyone out there got a spare accellerator pump and discharge nozzle diaphram for a Rolls merlin handy.
It will be shiny next week.

With all this talk on "spraying" - guess, there are other uses for it - besides painting....?
