Now, Stewart - you are reaping the rewards of your prep..... it's when the surface is wet thay you get a preview of what the top coats can bring.....
I'm sure you know this, but make sure you don't block down using anything finer than 800 - 600 is even better...400 will "just" show the "grain" of the cuts through the top coats.............. or you'll risk the top coats breaking away.... I did this time and time again until I learned that the slickest finish in primer doesn't make one jot of difference to the final lustre of top coats - it does, however - produce a slick undercoat which the top coat will break away from if knocked.....
Ah, Stewart - I have used that Protec - it's damned good stuff.... my engine bay is done in it - it comes up a bloody treat, has a fair amount of flexibility and will "work" very well when blocking down.
I note by your codes - you have access to a supplier with orignal "recipes".... or, and I believe not - you have asked for these codes to be registered together with the tints used to match tkhe colour.
It is interesting to note - that the "99xx" codes is associated with a different base than the newly used acylic - the former nitro-cellulose, I believed was the 99xx code...? and, I note this is in "clinker grey"... My supplier told me that it was a "genuine" dash colour - but on working it up - I believe this is correct for the EJ/EH dash - ours was a much darker black/grey satin.... mine is untouched.
However, I find that it goes down very well in the engine bay - compliments the slightly more yellow/blue grey used on the engine (and this differs from paint day to paint day.. depending on what enamel they had mixed in the pot (left overs, I've been told)
Not to steal your thread - I can "see" your build now in colour - and it will be magnificent, Stewart - yes, sleep won't come easy for you tonight...... I am impressed with the roof as it has "come off the gun" - you have chosen wisely, Protec is a great paint.

Not much sleep Rosco but probably got more than Dave who I think has pulled the muscle that runs down the side of your neck into you shoulder... Crikey you've got good eyesight....2 glovebox lids is right - one for the original badge and one for some pinstripe work...
