All packed and ready to go on the Tuesday afternoon.

On our way west we drove through a massive storm front coming into Sydney. It's one of the few times I have been genuinely concerned about driving. The 100 plus winds pushed us into the overtaking lane. Thank goodness for vaccuum wipers!

We finally drove through the storm and were greeted by some spectacular sunsets.

At Gundagai for the night. When I pulled up at the reception I could hear a very loud clicking noise coming from the engine...not good.

Wednesday morning it took me the best part of half an hour to start the FB... It was good driving but we were losing power on the hills.

Crossing the border into Mexico...

We stopped to drop off some fruit and clicking noise was worse and very hard to start....

We had to stop at Wadonga for fuel and at every intersection, roundabout, lights etc we stalled...
On the run into Shepparton I had the foot on the floor doing just on 60mph...

Party's over...

After I checked her over and advanced the timing I did whatever good mechanic with my years of experience would do...pulled out the NRMA Premium cover. Fantastic service. The FB was stored at Shepparton Holden and we picked up a SV6 and were on our way in about 3 hours...
