Calling all experts : ) Window wiper help

Post by kiwifb »

Hi there,

We have two different window wiper set ups in our two fb's - can any one give us any information about this one? (is it aftermarket, or FB, EK, etc... ) It says made in England.. The other one bolts to the fire wall and is obviously FB / EK but this one is a mystery (bolted to the firewall under the glovebox)

Those came out of British cars, like the Morris Minor.

I think people did whatever they could to replace the original FB vacuum units when they packed-it-in.

Oh, they were also in Maserati, Ferrari & Jaguar cars - sounds better than Morris

The motors (Part #DR3) is pretty hard to find now.

The wheel-box (Part 72845A) can still be bought off eBay.

I'm not sure how common it was to put the Lucas units in. Seems like a lot of hassle.
