fb dash and interior

Post by holdenutechick »

hi guys, my fb ute looks to have had the original dash replaced with ek grid pattern parts, been looking around the forums but haven't found any complete pictures of an fb ute interior, could someone upload a photo of the fb dash so I know what I need to fix the dash (some parts are missing).

Hi Steve, there was a few spare parts with the ute, I believe the bottom one in this photo is the original fb one but I'm not sure all of yours are painted and the ones I have are chrome, I have also noticed in your photos a stripe pattern along the dash, my dash has chrome on that too would the stripes be under that?

Hi HUC, The chrome around your whole dash and the Speedo housing appears to have be added after factory. I have never heard of factory fitted dash chrome to a ute or van, with the exception of late EK commercials with chrome speedo housings only.

Hope this helps

:)

Thanks Steve yes definitely not factory fitted on closer inspection the chrome pieces were fitted with blu tac! :esurprised:    the other pieces have been screwed on so I'm going to have to fill some holes on the plus side I was right the original striped section was under the chrome pieces
