I did the same, Yuk! It has grown on my over the years to be one of my favorite colours. The Special sedan in the FB brochure changed my feeling towards Morning Grey. Then after buying the EK version of the colour ... Cameo Beige, I love it.

Yeah, its not exactly a grey but not a pink either although if I was to pick I'd say its slightly more to the pink side than a grey colour.
Guess it really is the early dawn morning grey colour which it was most likely named after.
Steve, I have that picture on a piece of tin and also a playing card card holder (as most would) and it's quite a famous photograph. I always assumed it was Seagull grey like Thommo's sedan?
Thanks for the information regarding the prices as it gives us all a perspective on what can (and can't) be bought on various budgets.
That ute is awesome and when you relate it to some of the modern crap on offer I would lean to an old one with practicality excluded. My main hauler is a D40 Nissan deisel with no soul (and made by the same people who brought the world the Nanking massacre and the Sandakan death march) but the 4WD is for getting into trickier areas to ride.
The sedan colour had me tossed as well - let me think on that one !!! It has a sort of softness about the colour.
