Any ideas?

Hey Sigs, I used a lump hammer and cold chisel while the cam shaft was in the motor, On the side of the road, Don't know how i didn't kill some other part of my motor But it got me home from DEEPWATER to Brisvegas and only lasted for another two months. It was a second hand gear I got from an old bloke who used to run the dealership there. It was my first timing gear and the best twenty bucks I ever spent. Learnt quite a bit that trip. Still didn't get to Dubbo nats though.

yep, i have the manual, infortunatley i dont have a press or tool TA015 or whatever it is called. I have a puller however it doesnt seem to be doing the trick.
I am contemplating using a chisel and lump hammer however the metal ring in the middle of the timing gear looks like it might stop me?
thanks, I will keep persisting with what I have and see how i go

Hi John,
I'm tempted to do a few things however this one is staying all original so didnt want to change anything. Cant wait to get my teeth into the ute and tune the motor in that up to something with a bit of grunt though.
DOes anyone know with the gear if i break it off with a chisel how do you remove the metal ring which sits directly around the shaft?
