Re: My Nationals trip
Wish I could've hooked up with you and some crew on the way somewhere Trev but we officially pulled the pin today.
Rang and cancelled my two rooms at the Country Comfort (fingers crossed to those who put their hands up for the rooms)
It's a shame but we've got heaps on and an executive decision was made and we always have next year to go to.
So to all those heading to Mt Gambier have a safe trip and most importantly have a great time.
Please post lots of pics

Re: My Nationals trip
While on the subject of Trev's national trip we just thought to advise all travellers to be very very aware of the skippys and emus between Hamilton and Mount Gambier, unfortunately now a days they are about all day not just dusk and dawn like they use to be. Would hate someone to hit one and spoil their nationals, we travel this road weekly for work and there is always road kill. Even if you come via the Geelong/Warrnambool/Heywood route, the Heywood to Mount Gambier stretch is as bad. Worth backing off the speed a bit through these areas.
See you in here in........93.... sleeps!

Re: My Nationals trip
Living and travelling in the county we have those little shoe roo "thingys" on all our cars. They are from memory about $6 a pair, and can be bought at any autobarn/Supercheap, auto accessory stores. Fitted correctly they do help to make the skippys sit up and not move too quickly as they hate the loud whistle. But, hey Rosco, there are alway exceptions to any rule.
We have the "silver" ones near the over riders on the bumper of our cars and they are not really noticeable. (Safety comes first for us).

Re: My Nationals trip
Can appreciate that many people have success with these - and will fit them again.....
but - the 'roo we hit at Yamba must have been "deaf"..... two of them mounted in the airstream must have been "roaring" ....... guess "deaf" 'roos are just as stupid as any.....
I believe "huge" roo-shooers can be purchased.... if you have the power to push them through the air.....
