I'm just in the process of fixing some rust underneath my EK and scraping all the body deadener from under it to put down a fresh coat, and since the body is on its side it makes it very easy to do..
Anyway, i'm hoping that i can have all this repaired and finished by the weekend to put the body back right way up. My question however is this..
I have a 186, a 3spd All Syncro out of an LH Torana, and a Grey diff. I read earlier tonight that you can use a red diff center in a grey housing, its a straight bolt in apparently.. but what i'm wondering is if i can run HQ axles (whether they be stock, or shortened) in the diff as well, as i have HQ brakes on the HR front end already.
I know of a HR diff locally that is rightfully mine, but the owner isn't getting back to me since two years ago when i bought a parts car off him and left the original EK diff with him as he wanted to swap them. So with that being said, and there being a bit of uncertainty as to whether i'll get that diff i'd like to know of my options.
Also if someone has a cheap HR diff in Bris they'd like to part with that'd suit me fine too
