Loop a chain from the brake peddle up and around the steering wheel and padlock it
This advice was given to me by an old police sarge 28yrs ago when I'd purchaced my 1st EK as a daily. As for the bonnet, with these cars now over 50yrs old the only people that know how to open the bonnet are either dead or on this forum !!!
I've got one of those posh plastic covered chains so it doesn't scratch anything inside the car, it's "case hardend" or something so it's quite strong. I brought it for my Harley yrs ago.
I remember once when the chain was on my bike in the gararge I lost the keys for the padlock so I tried to use bolt cutters on one of the links.... I ended up using a 9in grinder to cut the link... Wife found the keys 6mths later in the kids toy box.
I use my ute most days and I chain it up when parking in a public place.
