Thanks HEAPS EVERYONE for their comments - it's really appreciated. I'm glad you guys are enjoying the rebuild.

It's about time for another update. Late last year I dropped off the doors, bonnet, tailgates, visor and other bits n pieces to Dave. You might remember back on page 18 some patches were welded onto the doors. Luis' preference was to re-skin them and do it properly but I convinced him it'd be OK. Guess what...it wasn't. Lesson - listen to the blokes who know what they are talking about... Dave had a look at the doors and said...they need to be reskinned...just the bottom sections...so Dave got busy...

Dave re-hung all the doors to test-fit and check the gaps. The gaps on the front doors were pretty good but the rear doors were a real pain and needed some extra encourage...lots of swearing, cussing, sweat and the mig...

Next we broke open a can of body filler. This was a new experience for me...nothing like getting down and dirty sanding back some bog...it gets in everywhere

Dave had a wonderful time... :P I think he was just smiling for the camera...

Unfortunately we found a nice 'dip' in the roof either side of the roof support - probably caused from being blasted. Dave cut the roof support out so the worst of it could be beaten back into shape. He bashed and I held the dolly under the roof :)

Then he welded it back in...

Once it had stopped 'snowing' in the garage it was time to get some primer on...
