Anti Theft Device?

Post by WayneXG95 »

Strange object in ashtray.
Noticed this pull out switch hidden in the ashtray
I traced the wire and it goes to a junction
with one wire heading for the coil and the branch
off the junction going to the dissy.
Could this be cut off switch, a theft device?
My first FB had a tap on the fuel line under the air cleaner.
Check the pics.
Any thoughts, anyone else seen or have this?

Simple security device. Short the coil = no spark = no go.

G'Day Wayne

Ejector Seat release

No seriously 1970's state of the art cutout switch, I had one as well.

Some cars even had a fuel tap that sat near the base of the B pillar and was tapped into the fuel line, high tech stuff back then!

I love where it is, it's very James Bond style hence my ejector seat comment

I am going to put an ejector seat in the passenger side - just for the wife along with a Subaru MY09 Moon roof so next time I drive from Sydney to the Great Ocean Road and she asks me like a broken record - "Are you tired yet - Let me drive!

Flip up goes the ash tray, flick goes the button, up and out goes the wife - problem solved!
