Paint chips stuck together?

Post by Aussie Bob »

Hi everyone, I would love to share with everyone the paint chip book I have and post the colour chips up, however, some of the pages have been wet and stuck together over time. Anyone know how to save the stuck paint chips?

I have all paint chips from 1948-1978 Most pages are excellent.

Thanks,

Steve

Not sure about how to save them, but would love to see the samples. Scan them if possible

Hi Brian, I will start a thread with all listed. If I can save these stuck pages, I will have every Holden colour to list in the first thirty years!!!

Did these paint chip pages ever get posted?

If not,it would be great to see.

And not just the FB-EK colours,either..

Im kind of partial to seeing the HD/HR range.

Hmmm...pages stuck together; haven't had that problem since I was a teenager

Gently steaming/heating and then using dental floss to separate the pages seems to be a popular home remedy.

What you need is contact with a book restorer and ask what they do?

Cheers
