UPDATE
The gray came out today. Engine oil is black so that means hopefully no cracked head or block
Transmission oil is still bright so fingers crossed should be easy to overhaul.
Check out the pics below.
They left the vacume line still in it's a wonder the old girl went at all!
Check the hose!

The line was still running up to the wiper motor and not plugged either.

Transmission oil still bright. Forgot to plug it ..Bugger.

Back uni joint, not to bad.

Still finding more of that bloody Dynamat

Exchust pile and muffler

Love to know what caused that Blowout?

The gray comming out

Slipping the crash box out.

Love the smell of oil in the morning

She's free

Cleaning this will pass the time, but I have an idea.

Crashbox needs a new bearing, so looks like a ovehaul kit.

No comment, you can see it.

Clutch has been running on rivits for a while!

The gray on a engine stand and pushed to the back of the garage till another day.

More tomorrow guys
Cheers

That muffler looks like it's taken a hit in the front causing it to split down the seam.

Update 04/01/2012
Well another hot day in the garage..pant pant.
I have taken around 900 pics so far so here's a cross section of them from today.
Just have to remove the doors, front and back windows, the side trim and wiring loom
and its off to the blasters in a week or two.
Using the engine hoist to hold up the front end while we get it out.

Using the engine hoist as a trolley for the front suspension.

Need to get this cleaned before the EPA come around.

Before we removed the front

Mmmm lost screwdriver, wonder how long thats been there?

Took this to remember where it goes later.

removing the steering wheel

another pic to remember.

The little pin is broken on the wheel but I have a good one

Playing with the steering box so we can remove the front.

Had to dig through this to find the bolts!

suprisingly after removing the inner guard there was no rust on the firewall

Same on the drivers side inner guard.

these came out of the bottom Y all the damage is on the passangers side.

The front end free at last, 3 hour job

That connects to the steering box!. bugger. deal with it later.

One of the rear engine mounts, check the dirt in it.

as above

Guess where these came from

Some bolts we had to cut off.

steering coming out.

Unbolting the rear springs

Pulling the rear out.

Rears out at last.

Steel for the trolley, next job

Cheers Boys

Crikey
You're not wasting any time
She doesn't actually look to be in too bad a shape under all of the Dynamat and crud. Can't wait to see what comes back from the blasters.
